Overall: 4.4/5 The store is cute with low table seating reminiscent of Vietnam. An Vat OC's specialty is banh Trang since they have so many types, both fresh and packaged. We recommend asking the cashier what the most popular items are. We got com chay and a green packaged fried looking rice thing to go for 20.66 which is pretty steep but the items we ate at the restaurant were really good and decent pricing. Com Chay: It was good but it's not as umami as the ones in the Bay Area. There also wasn't as much topping either so I wouldn't get this again. Ca Vien Xao Mam Toi (8.99): This was the least anticipated item for me but it ended up being one of the best items here. It comes out in two colors. The white fish balls were a bit smaller than the yellow balls so I wonder if they fry them differently. I definitely had a preference for one over the other but my husband did not. Trung Cut Rim Me (7.99): Wow, we were hesitant on getting the tamarind version since we were worried the sauce would be too sour but it was actually really delicious and went perfectly with the qual eggs! This is actually one of our favorite dishes of the 4 we tried. Cuon Bo (7.99): This was recommended as being one of the popular items here but it was actually not as good as the quail eggs or fried fish balls. It had a pretty presentation but it was on the blander side, and there was no beef (reference photo). I assume the sauce has butter in it since it was a thick coagulated yellow blob. This sauce was pretty gross so we didn't use it and dipped our rolls in the fish ball or quail egg sauces. Overall, food was really good and they have dishes we've rarely seen anywhere else so we will be coming back! Definitely want to try their banh Trang tron the next time we're in town :)

This is a great place to try out some traditional Vietnamese street food. They have some food offerings that I have not seen in any other places in Little Saigon. They also have a great drink selection with many different milk teas and of course Vietnamese coffee. Lots of prepackaged things to go as well. Great place to go if you want a taste of Vietnamese street food with some tasty drinks to go with them!

Interesting small hole in the wall that will have the street snacks and dishes authentic to Vietnam. The salted egg cake is something of a delicious delight that would only typically be seen made in family homes. The quail egg and other egg roll dishes are tasty and best when fresh. Worth a visit and if you're in the mood for fresh street foods.
